Akame Ga Kill Plot
Akame Ga Kill follows Tatsumi, a young warrior who travels to the Capital with his two childhood friends. The three of them join the secret political organization known as Night Raid in order to overthrow the corrupt Prime Minister who controls the military. Night Raid is also the name of the elite assassination team that Tatsumi joins.
Members of Night Raid carry unique weapons and wear powerful armor themed after the animal they are associated with. Each member handles different tasks, such as intelligence gathering or infiltration. Akame is one of the most experienced warriors in Night Raid and wields a two-sword style which allows her to fight multiple enemies at once. The Prime Minister’s son, Esdeath, is an extremely skilled fighter who wields ice powers and commands an empire called The Imperial Arms Military Police Troop Evil Three Flowers, more commonly known as the Jaegers.
Tatsumi quickly gets caught up in all of this but remains determined to overthrow the Empire no matter what it takes. After a while, other Night Raid members begin to join Tatsumi in his quest to save the people from corruption by toppling The Capital.
Akame Ga Kill Characters
Akame is an elite assassin who belongs to the secret organization Night Raid. She is described as a very stoic, cold person with little care for human life, even while she maintains her sweet demeanor on the surface. She wields a pair of sword called Murasame and Unnamed – Demon Swords/Scarlet Swords .
Tatsumi is one of the main characters in the anime series Akame Ga Kill! He is one of the newest recruits that joined Night Raid after passing their tests. He has traveled with his childhood friends Lubbock and Leone to join after hearing about The Capital’s corruption. Because he is new to the organization, Tatsumi is one of the weakest members of Night Raid. However, he makes up for it with his unwavering resolve and kind heart.
Mine is a very shy and distant person, but is kind and caring towards those close to her. She cares greatly about Tatsumi and often blushes around him, which sometimes annoys him. She’s also the sister of one of Kurome’s friends who was killed by Esdeath.
Lubbock is a self-proclaimed best friend to Tatsumi, yet he tends to tease him over his feeling for Mine. He has little respect for authority as seen when he snuck into The Capital disguised as an officer just so he could see Cherry Blossom Festival with Leone. Despite this, Lubbock does have some degree of common sense and decency as seen in episode 3 when he tries to convince Bulat to stop Tatsumi from joining Night Raid because he was worried for him.
Leone is one of the last survivors of her clan after their destruction at the hands of Syura and The Empire’s invasion. She carries a grudge against Esdeath because she thinks that if Esdeath hadn’t joined The Empire, then Kurome would not have been turned into a Teigu user and would still be alive. Leone also states that she likes Tatsumi, but doesn’t want to admit it because she’d lose her chance to win him over if he ever found out about his relation with Kurome. She is rumored to have been romantically involved with Akame’s sister Kurome in the past due to their similar personalities and abilities, but this is unconfirmed.
Esdeath is the strongest general in The Empire and one of the most powerful Teigu users alive. She uses a large weapon called Demon’s Extract that takes the form of a whip/scythe and creates ice with its attacks. She is ordered by Prime Minister Honest to help hunt down Night Raid after she made an example out of bandits terrorizing a town by making them freeze to death, even when they pleaded for their lives.
Sheele fought alongside Akame in her home village before joining up with Night Raid. During a mission to assassinate a corrupt merchant, she was injured and eventually lost her life at the hands of Syura who had chased them down. She wields a Teigu called Thunder’s Cry.
*Wrap It Up
The anime series Akame ga Kill! is about a young man named Tatsumi who fought his way through hordes of assassins to join their organization called Night Raid and rebels against the corrupt and evil empire ruling over them. Characters include Akame, Mine, Lubbock , Leone, Tatsumi, Bulat, Sheele, and Esdeath.
This anime is action-packed and has an interesting storyline because it follows the protagonist’s journey as he fights to overthrow The Capital so he can save his people from being oppressed by The Emperor. I would recommend this anime series to anyone who loves action-packed series with a bit of romance mixed in.
